Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Kye Kinzer, DDS. was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Following high school, he attended Texas A&M University where he decided to pursue a career in dentistry while completing his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Kinzer received his Dental degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and following graduation, moved back to Las Cruces to serve his hometown community. Dr. Kinzer enjoys archery and spending his free time in the remote backcountry of the rocky mountain west.

 

 


Dr. Almut Tropp, DDS. is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She has lived and studied all over the world, including Germany, Japan, Singapore and the Netherlands. She attended dental school at the University of California San Francisco where she was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a prestigious national dental honor society. She held several leadership positions including president of the Student Society of Pediatric Dentistry. Following dental school, Almut received specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (currently ranked #3 in the nation). Her training included extensive clinical experience in both sedation and non-sedation dentistry for infants, children, and teenagers as well as medically compromised patients and patients with special needs. She is a member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Her interests include running, hiking, and spending time with her husband and young daughter.

 


Dr. Kenneth E. Knott, DDS. (General Dentist) Dr. Knott received his Doctor Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1974. Dr. Knott served in the US Air Force Dental Corp for two years, followed by twenty-seven years dedicated to the practice of general, family dentistry. In 2001 Dr. Knott retired from private practice and since has focused on children and adolescent dentistry in various capacities. A native of Ohio and California, Dr. Knott and his wife, Darla have spent most of their adult lives in Colorado. They have recently relocated to Las Cruces and are excited to make Las Cruces home and explore the Southern New Mexico area. Dr. Knott and Darla have four children and nine grandchildren. So spending time with family is important as well as leisure traveling and enjoying the outdoors.

 


Dr. Anne Hempstead, DDS. is a native of Las Cruces where she attended Las Cruces High School. Dr. Hempstead received her undergraduate degree in pre-professional studies from the University of Notre Dame. She earned her D.D.S. from Baylor College of Dentistry and then went on to attend The University of Illinois at Chicago for her specialty training in pediatric dentistry. She is a member of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Hempstead enjoys running and spending time with her young daughter Grace.

 

 


Dr. Scott Siegel, DMD. Scott Siegel, DMD grew up in South Florida. He received a Bachelor of Science in nutrition from the University of Florida. Being from a family of dentists, Dr. Siegel was interested in pursuing dentistry from an early age. He attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dentistry. After earning his DMD, he completed a one-year general practice residency at LIJ Hospital in NY. He then attended a pediatric dental residency at Boston University. After private practice for several years, Dr. Siegel completed a two-year dental anesthesia residency at St Barnabas Hospital in NY. Dr. Siegel has taken part in Texas Mission of Mercy, which provides basic dental care to uninsured Texans. He enjoys snowboarding, biking, and hiking the New Mexico mountains.
